This kinetic sculpture has four rotating disks that rotate and float in space to create soothing mesmerizing random patterns. The piece is hand driven and a gentle touch will get it moving for about five minutes.
The piece is about six feet tall and is made of mild steel. It was polished and heated to produce a rainbow of colored oxides on the surface of the metal. There is a clear coat over the entire piece.
This is an indoor sculpture. The one pictured above was sold at the Lake Oswego Festival of the arts.
